Michael B. Brooks holds his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law, of Malibu, California , having a course of study that  included the Intellectual Property Summer Institute of the Franklin Pierce Law Center of Concord, New Hampshire. He is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California , the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9^th Circuit.

Dr. Brooks holds BS , MS & PhD degrees in engineering from UCLA and is registered in the state of California as a Professional Electrical Engineer.

Dr. Brooks has extensive experience in the research and development of advanced avionics, particularly advanced control and estimation systems, digital signal processing, and  complex algorithmic processes. While leading advanced technology development teams, Dr. Brooks was concurrently a part-time Assistant Professor of Engineering at California State University , Northridge. Prior to founding the Firm in the year 2000, he was the General Counsel for what was then one of America 's fastest growing privately-held corporations, itself successfully performing and expanding with Small Business Innovative Research contracts and international Technology Research and Development Programs.
